Academic

The Homi Bhabha young scientist Exam is conducted every year by the Greater Bombay Science Teachers Association. It is a unique 4-stage competition which aims at arousing curiosity, problem solving attitude, observational skills along with sensitizing students towards their immediate environment.

It is a matter of great pride for the school that a total of 5 students from Std. IX passed the exam and made it to the second stage – the practical competition and were awarded with merit certificates. The students are-

They were felicitated in the morning assembly and congratulated by the Manager Rev. Fr. Dion Lobo S.J., Headmaster Dr. Sir Sanjay Katale and the staff and students of the school.

Our students have scripted new success stories by their hard work and dedication. This impressive result was possible because of the continued support of our esteemed parents and teachers. This gives us immense satisfaction and a sense of achievement with our students bringing laurels to our institution with every passing year. We feel proud to share that our students from different groups qualified 3 different levels in CompuTalent Search Competitive Exam 2023 conducted by The Computer Academy, Nashik Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Nashik on 16th September 2023.

In Group – I, Master Hetansh Mokashi from Grade 4-1

In Group – II, Master Mohammed Aariz Shaikh from Grade 7-2, Master Samik Bhatiya from Grade 6-3, Master Vyom Bhatia from Grade 8-1

In Group – III, Master Miran Shaikh from Grade 10-A

Received consolation Prize with a certificate and Memento.

In Group – IV, Tr. Nisha Kumari (I.T. Teacher) secured third position among 4000 students from all over the Nashik district. She clinched the trophy, a certificate and a cash prize.

Our Head Mistress, Ms. Esther Bansod congratulated all the achievers, their parents and the Computer Dept. for setting another milestone in the glorious journey of St. Xavier’s School and extends her hearty wishes for a promising future to all the students.

The Rotary Club and Inner Wheel Club Deolali had organized an Elocution Competition in English, Marathi and Hindi. The students of St. Xavier's High School, Nasik Road brought laurels to the school by winning prizes in all the 3 languages. Miss Vedika Bapat of Std. 10th won the First Prize in the English Elocution Competition. Miss Nirmohi Deshmukh won the Second Prize in the Marathi Elocution Competition and Miss Soha Shaikh, the First Consolation Prize in Hindi Elocution Competition. For the excellent performance in all the 3 languages, the school also won the Trophy for the Overall Winners of the Elocution Competition.

The meritorious students and the teachers who guided them - Mrs. Sarita Kale (English), Mr. Nandu Khalkar (Hindi) and Mrs. Pallavi Bhavsar (Marathi) were congratulated by the Manager Rev Fr. Dion Lobo, Headmaster Dr. Sir Sanjay Katale and the staff.

Sports

The U-14 Boys & Girls Hockey Tournament, held on the 28th of August 2023, was a riveting display of young talent and sportsmanship. This event brought together 8 teams from different schools, all vying for the coveted championship title. After intense battles on the field, St. Xavier's School emerged triumphant, securing their place as champions.

The tournament showcased exemplary skills, teamwork, and dedication from all participating teams. The players displayed an incredible level of enthusiasm and commitment, making every match a thrilling spectacle for the audience.

In addition to the tournament, a special felicitation ceremony took place on the 29th of August 2023, coinciding with the birthday of the legendary Major Dhyanchand. This ceremony was a testament to the honor and respect bestowed upon those who exhibited exceptional talent during the tournament.

The accolades were awarded to three outstanding individuals:

Aniket Devre was felicitated as the Best Goal Keeper. His remarkable ability to defend the goal throughout the tournament was truly commendable.

Aaradhya Unawane was recognized as the Best Player of the tournament. Her exceptional skills, sportsmanship, and leadership qualities set her apart as a remarkable talent in the world of U-14 hockey.

Abigail Fernandes received the distinction of being the Highest Scorer, a testament to her goal-scoring prowess.

Congratulations to all the participating teams, and a special round of applause to St. Xavier's School for their remarkable victory. This event will be remembered for years to come as a testament to the spirit of sportsmanship and the promise of future hockey champions.
